We moved in. The marble’s in, the lighting works, and the dogs have claimed their corners. With just a few finishing touches left—curtains, polishing, furniture deliveries—we’re living in the space and designing the rest from within. This is the phase where a house becomes a home, and every detail is tested, felt, and lived.

As construction winds down, the home begins to take shape through its most personal layer: furniture. In Week 8, we explore how sculptural forms, curated materials, and custom pieces complete the architecture, not just decorate it.

Week 7 marks the final phase before lighting installation begins. Wardrobes are fitted, marble is in place, and the atmosphere is beginning to show.

Week 5 of The Sculpted Abode marks a visible transformation: bathrooms tiled, ceilings closing, and a sculptural marble staircase taking shape. Carrara and Calacatta Paonazzo Verde set the rhythm across floors, while lighting and detail planning define flow. A story of craft, cohesion, and care — bringing our Dubai villa renovation closer to home.

Week 4 of The Sculpted Abode marks the shift to finishes: tiling begins, marble niches are prepared, and spa-like bathrooms take shape with timeless details.

As a final touch, the large blank wall in the kitchen will carry a gypsum relief inspired by Matisse’s The Dance — simplified to outlines only, a gesture of movement, joy, and connection. For us, it captures the atmosphere we want to feel in the space: alive, human, celebratory.

Week 2 of The Sculpted Abode marked a shift from demolition to rebuilding. Walls rose, systems were installed, and the invisible work of MEP and HVAC became the backbone of the home.
