Founded in 2020, D’Ora Tokai Designs is an interior architecture and design studio working across residential, investment, hospitality, and customer-facing environments throughout the UAE and internationally.
The studio was established during COVID, when homes overnight became spaces for work, privacy, restoration, and wellbeing simultaneously. This period reinforced an approach to design that continues to shape the studio today: creating artful environments that support wellbeing and individuality, and help people thrive within the pace and demands of modern life.
Today, D’Ora Tokai Designs is known for transformative renovations, artful interiors, and environments shaped around the realities of modern living.
Hungarian-born designer D’Ora Tokai brings over 20 years of international experience shaped through studies, work, and life across Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.
Her background combines Engineering studies in France, Interior Architecture studies in the UK, and an MBA in Luxury Goods & Services in Monaco, bringing together technical understanding, strong European design discipline, cultural depth, and a deep appreciation for quality, craftsmanship, and detail.
Before founding D’Ora Tokai Designs in 2020, D’Ora worked with internationally recognised studios including Design Spirits Tokyo and Ministry of Design Singapore, and later launched a Monaco-based luxury fashion brand.
Based out of Dubai, D’Ora leads a studio specialising in transformative residential, hospitality, and commercial environments designed around identity, restoration, and long-term value.
D’Ora Tokai Designs has been featured internationally through publications, speaking engagements, and design books, including Architectural Digest, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, Design Milk, and Contemporary Living 2026.
