Week 4 of The Sculpted Abode marks the shift to finishes: tiling begins, marble niches are prepared, and spa-like bathrooms take shape with timeless details.

As a final touch, the large blank wall in the kitchen will carry a gypsum relief inspired by Matisse’s The Dance — simplified to outlines only, a gesture of movement, joy, and connection. For us, it captures the atmosphere we want to feel in the space: alive, human, celebratory.

Week 2 of The Sculpted Abode marked a shift from demolition to rebuilding. Walls rose, systems were installed, and the invisible work of MEP and HVAC became the backbone of the home.

Week 1 of The Sculpted Abode was a whirlwind of emotions and decisions. As both designer and homeowner, I faced the shock of seeing our family home stripped to its bones — and the urgency of solving unexpected MEP and structural surprises. With decisive action and a trusted team, the renovation moved ahead at remarkable speed.
