The night of the 21st saw the innovative Auto Couture collection displayed to the hundreds in attendance. Whilst each outfit has a unique inspiration, this collection continues with the themes that characterise the brand. The meandering contours of these dynamic outfits pay homage to the classic curvature of the traditional automobile. A diverse use of materials has promoted sartorial exploration without the need to neglect the collection’s motoring inspiration.
Whilst Lewis Hamilton was being presenting with his trophy, a few floors up, the Podium Lounge was being transformed for the nights celebrations. The night of the 23rd marked the debut of our much anticipated 2015 Cruise collection and the Spring-Summer 2015 collection. The sartorial elegance of Monaco’s history is imprinted in the genetic makeup of the D’Ora Tokai Cruise collection. The originality of the collection is belying an enduring inspiration to fashion, the constant ebb and flow of ocean which is replicated in the wandering patterns of the light linens. The outfits depict a story of a sophisticated young lady, delighting in the jocundity of life on the Riviera. Here the main materials are silks, satins, organzas and linens, our skilled craftsmen add silicon on to the linens to create unique patterns.
Whilst creating new innovative takes on elegance, the brand attempts to exhibit the rich cultural history of the principality through the medium of fashion. Creative director Dora Tokai finds further inspiration in the Emirati city of Dubai, where she resides with her family. Both the Emirate and Monaco share a passion for contemporary excellence and an ancient connection with the sea.
